ok... do you think hitting a tee ball is complex? notice i said complex, and not difficult.
it's really no different except the ball isn't elevated. people just think it's hard cause they're trying to hit the ball instead of swing the club.
how's your practice swing? i bet it's beautiful, in rhythm, all that good stuff, right? not complex at all. if you make that same swing on the ball, it doesn't make it any more complex to execute.

not anywhere close. the body in a baseball swing is "in a barrel" and the swing is very compact. otherwise you couldn't even get around on a 90 MPH fastball. and of course the grip is completely different. in a golf swing you take a much longer back swing and hold your body back until you break your wrists and shift your weight. the ball isn't moving so you can use your full swing. i'll agree they are similar but they are not the same.

You should probably look up fundamental in the dictionary.
The underlying fundamental behind the step is the same as planting your foot in golf, to post the lead leg in order to brace the body for a hard pivot in the opposite direction.
