Feet closer together and straighten out the lead arm. Other than that, yes it would be a good golf swing.

I'm saying the weaker the grip the more likely you are to have a steeper backswing

Well that would be pretty stupid of you and I thought you just said grip doesn't change the swing. If golf instruction was so easy there wouldn't be people charging 10k a day to work with top instructors.

This is my answer for worst swing-related advice I've ever heard someone say.

I didn't say it was easy, it's just not complex. Getting the body to do the motion is difficult because we have to fight the brains urge to hit the ball instead of swing through t towards the target. But the motion is not physically complex to perform. When you make the target your focus instead of the ball, it simplifies things significantly.

Yea this isn't complex at all. Swinging through my be the most retarded thing I've ever heard and I taught golf full time for 5 yeas. The last sentence proves that you don't have a clue wtf you're talking about. What I don't understand is why you want to act like you do.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume we're just missing each other in translation, but if we're not and you're teaching people to hit at the ball you probably shouldn't be teaching.

What about TGM teaching swingers and "hitters"? It's probably the most successful instruction guide ever.

Either way, swinger or hitter, the right arm doesn't fully extend until after contact, indicative of swinging or hitting through the ball. McClain is a great instructor, I don't think he would ever advocate trying to hit at the ball. Case in point, find one of his vids where he's demonstrating the downswing with the badminton racquets he uses, his right arm is bent.

I am exhausted reading this thread.

At this point I would settle for a friendly MSB game just to see MT handle himself on the course.

I'd be about a 2 now, but haven't figured it in a few years. Best round last year was 71 E, lowest round ever was 67 -4 I think. But best round ever was shooting +6 on a PGA set up before the tourney.

I mean, that's probably better than my current game, but I don't doubt that there are others on the board who are better than this.
