I don't understand why the Redskins just don't go ahead and change their name. They would appease the people who find the name offensive, and they'd make a boatload of money off all the memorabilia sales. It would be a win, win.

if they were going to change it, they should have changed it years ago, its kinda late in the game, which is a horrible excuse. But bullshite reasoning that its not offensive (tradition)blah blah doesnt surprise me. Nearly wipe out a native race of people and people are mad because they cant keep a name of football team of that said race.

I'm conservative and I like Bob Costas. I don't like Bob Costas using halftime of a football game to push an agenda. But, I guess that's the forum that NBC gives him. It's his editorial, it's his opinion, and that's fine. But don't let it be the only opinion.
The fact of the matter is that "Redskins" is no different than "Brave" or "Indian" or "Warrior". And I applaud Daniel Snyder for upholding the name of the franchise. There are far too little voices making far too much noise about this issue.
