yeah Nique was a helluva power dunker. that's the approach most thought Harrison Barnes would take but didn't.

The dunk contest is a lot like SNL in that people claim it sucks in the present and then romanticize the past. A lot of the dunks in the past few years will be a part of the highlight package for the rest of my life, but people thought it was weak in real time.

I agree with SPEEDY, the problem isn't the dunkers, it's everything else: format, environment, etc.

Problem with those gifs of the Wilkins dunks, (especially the last one), is that they don't really capture the aggressiveness of his dunks. Nique threw them down "with authority".

he was vicious............

I've gotten used to the recent J-Rich. Fat and injured all the time. I don't think he's even playing this season.

I just keep watching MJ's kiss the rim and then the reverse where his head's in the net. the style with which he dunked hasn't been matched.

desmond mason v. j-rich was great for that 2-3 year stretch

the east bay off a lob-bounce with a reverse was done on the first try in the final dunk of the finals v. d-mase

that shite was retardedly amazing

No Carter's Eastbay or 360 Tomahawk with body going one way and arm the other? How about the best dunk in the contest ever that NO ONE talks about? Ham slapping the backboard with his left, turning the opposite way and dunking with his right.

The John Wall dunk would of been way better without the handoff.

Also does anyone have a gif of the Fred Jones Dunk?
