Do you think he'll get to 60?

50 is pretty impressive to me, but 60? That's crazy. We haven't seen that many since Bonds and his roid run.

It's been 10 or 11 years since a NL player hit more than 50 in a season. Pretty remarkable.

His swing is smooth and fun to watch. I don't think he'll reach 60 but man he's been in a tear lately

40 games left in the season and he needs to hit 15. Definitely possible. Dude just hit 11 in 12 games lol.

If we get a Stanton 60 or 61 HR (the real record and evey fan will treat it as such) charge combined with the Dodgers going for the win record combined with the young stars of the Red Sox and Yankees battling for playoff seeding, then this could be one if those very special regular seasons.

With all of these storylines, baseball feels really special this year.. Just a damn shame MLB has zero clue how to market their product...

I'm going to predict that he slows down and "only" finishes with 54.

Meh - Sosa had 3 seasons with 60+ HR's and he's a dainty white lady

Ok, maybe not the real record but i think 62 might be looked on as more impressive down the road

He hit #46 on Tuesday 8/22, and it looks like he's hit another one today.

47 with 36 games left to play.

60 is doable.

Who hit 62? No in the history of baseball has finished a season with 62 homers.

I assume he's referencing Maris's 61 as the "record"

Not that I agree with his take.

Seems you missed his point.
