Dude you totally burned me (rolls eyes). Still doesn't changed the fact that Oregon is highly overrated.

LSU lost our starting LB, CB ( last season's nat. defensive player of the yr), 3 OL & our starting RB,all for the season, with only 2 exceptions being before the season started & the RB went down early. Take those players off your team, let alone any team, and see how your season goes.Oh...right. you play in the Pac 12.

Suck it up, win out and then lose to KSU.

I see see you Ducktards losing to Stanford and then KSU losing to UT in last week, propelling gump back in. Dammit!

Neither of those are very likely to happen..

Just like last year, Stanford will not know what hit them this weekend.

My hope was that Oregon would get to play an SEC team in the MNC game. Likely not going to happen, but wish it was.

I can see it now - Oregon wins it all over KState or Notre Dame - this board says that Oregon got lucky and isn't deserving b/c they didn't beat an SEC team. If A&M's offense was able to get to Bama, Oregon's will too (but by more).

You never know! See OSU last year when the preasure was on.

Oregon is a mystery to me. They could be one of the greatest teams of all time or a total fraud. We'll see.

No doubt. Oregon runs even a quicker Offense than A&M.

I don't see them losing.

Oregon won 59-17 with walkon on the DL. We held Cal to under 350 yards with our MASH unit. That is decent with a all hands on deck.

Bumped...

Some interesting developments with De'Anthony rumored to working on defense and now Bryan Bennett, backup safety, as well.

DAT could probably pick up DB fast and help with OS and USC.

You really want your svelte and delicate track star playing on D?

wow...like hooking a thoroughbred up to a plow.

Fun thread... can't believe this didn't get more attention:

Thomas was just as good a passer IMO but Mariota is a MUCH better ballhandler, runner and has better pocket presence.

Not the case at all. Mariota is markedly superior in every category to Thomas. Mariota is more athletic, has a bigger arm, terrific mechanics (with a lightning quick release), makes better throws on the run, and is simply more accurate than Thomas ever was. Mariota had a long pass to Josh Huff in the second half on Saturday night that we've been waiting 5 years to see. Dennis Dixon was the last guy we had who could make that throw.

Zamoro, you and I both know that DAT would be a terrific CB or nickleback player, which is why he was rated the #1 cb prospect coming out of high school.

From the RegisterGuard:

Kelly declined to comment on reports that running back De'Anthony Thomas is being prepared for possible emergency duty at corner, but Mathis said Thomas has looked "good" and that, "He's De'Anthony; he can do anything he wants to."

They are probably prepping him for USC in the CCG.

You best be scared.

I didn't even want to mention it but here is something from Moseley, a pretty level head guy:

In every way possible. RT @robbyrocks512 You think Mariota is better than Thomas?!

— Rob Moseley (@DuckFootball) November 13, 2012

Better mechanics
Better runner
Better thrower
sees the field better

I'm not saying he'd suck but why risk it?

He's your golden child on O and lets face it...it's your O or nothing with Oregon.

What does this even mean?

They are producing awesome QBs? They won't play on Sunday?

Well that's true. He's a good enough passer to be a regular QB outside of your system...but he's finally the perfect product to Kelly's system.

He's going to keep Oregon chugging along. The guy should easily go to New York for the Heisman but he gets pigeon-holed as a cog in the system wheel when he's really the force making it all work just like Klein.

I don't agree with this. Remember, Oregon held Arizona to 0 points and they scored 39 and 48 against USC and Stanford. Oregon will get guys back on the DLINE that caught the injury bug against USC.
