...The Pack punted...-3.5 with 50 seconds left....

Da Bears returned the punt...but...there was a mystery flag.

This was just as bad as Wrestle Mania 1

What purpose would it serve? They would have lost the game anyways

He could have just called the wrong number, but then again, the wrong ref made the call.

If there was a hold, it happened well before the TV cameras showed on the replay. If you look, the flag is on the right side of the field and already on the ground when Knox runs by.

ETA: Went back and looked again. If we can find a shot of what happened when Corey Graham and the Chi player were doing when they ran by that spot, you'll get your answer. It was thrown late, but they ran right through that spot

ETA2: Go back and look at the live shot of the punt. The hold happened on the far side of the field at the 35. It's not obvious, but it looks like the Packers player takes an awkward step like the Chi player has his jersey.

ETA3:

Not to mention there's a hold/block in the back on damn near every play in the NFL.. some get seen and some don't.

Yeah take a look at the 3 second mark on the video. Top right corner, Bears player is clearly pulling on the greenbay's players shoulder pad. Obviously didn't need to do it, but oh well...

why exactly did the NFL want Green Bay to cover and not Chicago?

The hold was before the replay they showed. He grabbed the gunners jersey when they were both running down the field. It happened, they just didn't rewind enough.

It was the right call. Heck, the guy who the penalty was called on actually patted his chest as if to say "My bad" after the call was made. Even he knew that he committed the penalty.

Way more people bet on GB to cover than on the Bears.

If it was "fixed" the refs would have helped Vegas win, not the public.

obviously goodell waits to find out who LSUPHILLY bet on and then decides to frick that team. It's kind of like those Buffalo Wild Wings commercials

its not, only sad, pathetic people like you beleive everything is rigged so you have an excuse for whatever shortcomings there are in your own life. Your mind is so warped, you can't grasp the fact that there is no way people would risk a multi billion dollar business by committing fraud. Let alone how much more complicated and hence difficult it would be

The line was 3.5

Green Bay was favored, so the fact you think it was rigged, shows you don't know what you are talking about. The public ovewhemlming bets favorites plus Green Bay is a public team that gets lots of action. Per vegas insiders LINK 81% of the action was on Green Bay. By "rigging" the game, the bookies and big casinos LOST

a single ref or 2 or players for that matter shaving points is different from claiming the whole sport is rigged, which the OP has claimed in the past. He has claimed the NFL made Houston take Mario Williams so the Saints could draft Reggie Bush, because NOLA needed the boost. Stuff like that.

If the refs were sahing points, would they wait until the last play to insure a win? I wouldn't if I was them, I'd flagged Chic DB's for PI if they looked at GB WR's early in the game and holding pretty much all game on the O.

There's no way someone placed bets based on the ref rigging the game. It's just too hard to do.

They would have had to know in advance that the ATS result would come down to a play like that so the ref could throw a flag and call back the punt return.

What if Chicago comes out and dominates the game? Then you can't fix the game without being obvious.
