Is this thread just for the contest, or is it a free-for-all?

If the latter, I recommend taking Tommy Haas to beat Igor Sijsling. I got Haas at -190, but it's still worth taking at -210.

Oh, and Kei Nishikori to beat Ivo Karlovic. I got it at -360, but you should still take it at -390. Kei is on fie-YAH.

Wake Forest +5.5 stuck out to me. They massacred FSU the first go around. Anyone know why they're suck a big dog?

Sounds about right to me. Well, I might have set it at WFU+3.5. Mediocre teams have trouble winning on the road.

Oh, and sorry I didn't alert y'all to the presence of Free Money earlier. A nice little ROI of 1% was available via Davydenko/ Tipsarevic. I'll use $100 in my example to keep things round.

Risk 100 on Davydenko at +125 to win the match (win 125)
Risk 122.73 on Tipsarevic-1.5 games at -120 (win 102.27)

If Davydenko wins, you win 2.27.
If Tipsarevic wins by a margin of more than one game*, you win 2.27 as well.

*It's not possible to win a tennis match by a margin of less than two games if you win in straight sets. HOWEVER...it can happen with a three set win, but it's rare. Probably about as rare as the more delightful scenario (in this instance) of the underdog winning the match outright, and the favorite covering the spread.**

**So in all likelihood, you made $2.27, but there are two other possibilities:

1. Tipsarevic wins 7-6, 6-7, 7-6....you lose $222.73 (everything you risked)

2. Davydenko wins 7-6, 2-6, 7-6...you win $227.27 (chicken dinner).

This would have been a bit more lucrative if 5 dimes had been offering reduced lines on the match. They weren't.

How does y'all's thing work? You have a dollar to play with?

What did Djokovic earn you...about four cents?

.02 cents, I was just messing around. But yeah you start with a dollar and try to build it up to $200. You play with free money but if you get it to $200 you get that in real money.

On 5D I took him at -6.5 which he covered.

You start with $1 and we're seeing who can get the highest. If you lose the dollar, then you start back over at $0.50. You can make as many bets you want in any way you want. Most all of us used our $1 on parlays, which is why the majority of us are under $1 right now.

The difficult part is getting a foundation. Bama took a huge step getting to where he has something to play with. I probably shouldn't have gone for the +2400 home run right away

doubt this will actually matter to anyone but if you get to $200 you can get a free 1:1 cash out..
quote:

Limited Access Members are paid out at an exchange rate of $0.50 USD for every $1.00 of Play money in the Primary Balance. Limited Access members may also receive a $1.00 to $1.00 exchange rate by sending in a 3 inch x 5 inch card on which you have handwritten "FSB Exchange Rate Participation", your FSB display name, First and Last Name, Complete Mailing Address (e.g. Street, City, State, ZIP code), Email Address, and the thirty day period beginning at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time on the first day and ending at midnight on the thirtieth day in which you would like to participate (one thirty day period per card) in mm/dd/yyyy format. The card must be placed in a #10 handwritten envelope, and mailed to PO Box 45, Golden, CO 80402. No photocopies, reproductions or facsimiles of the 3 inch x 5 inch card are allowed. Limit: 1 card per envelope. Cards must be received no earlier than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the thirty day period in which entry is requested and no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the thirty day period in which entry is requested. Players must have sent in card, according to rules, for at least 30 days prior to your Total Balance (primary+pending) reaching half of the cash-out level (i.e. $100.00) in order to be eligible for $1.00 to $1.00 exchange rate. A card must be sent in every month without lapse until cash out is requested, in order to remain eligible for $1.00 to $1.00 exchange rate. If a card is not sent in, according to rules above, for one or more months prior to cash out, then the exchange rate of $0.50 to $1.00 will be used. If your total balance drops to $1.00 or lower you again become eligible for the 1-to-1 exchange rate if the above Full Access rules or Card Entry rules are met.
