Somewhat surprised no Colonels after beating the Cowboys

Grambling being ranked still is puzzling

JMU and NDSU just keep doing what they do

Coaches poll is shite. SLU misses the FBS upset by 1 play, while dominating the stat line, and only get 7 votes.

Grambling gets destroyed by Tulane and drops two spots.

This isn't coaches poll it's the STATS Poll it is best FCS poll out there.

I have no stock in that ESPN Coaches Poll and never use it.

Chattanooga's starting QB was suspended the first 4 games. They really struggled to move the ball against Jacksonville State.

Oh sorry, thought it was the coach's poll.

Usually STATS is better but oh well.

They somewhat expected it. Their starter now is a MSU transfer. He looked uncomfortable couple weeks ago for certain

I'm impressed with Sam St winning after that chaos they dealt with.

Lamar I haven't heard anything from them though.

SLO getting beat by Colgate was depressing as they looked bad.

I'm biased but Portland State should get a look in the Top 25. Almost upset Oregon State yesterday and played BYU tight for 3 quarters. Young qb and a questionable running game but the defense looks legit.

Just saying, keep an eye on the Vikings this season.

Agreed.

Also agreed. It's not like they went and lost to Oklahoma. They got handled pretty hard by Tulane.

Jackson State, who lost 63-0 to TCU, got 3 times as many votes in the Coaches Poll as SLU, and only 11 less than Nicholls got. Polls are a joke, and it's a shame if the committee actually uses them.

They really do not use the Coaches Poll from what I have noticed. If they did last year, then I did not notice much difference other than making Sam seeded way below what they should have and travel.

My poor Bears they are going to get demolished, pulverized, wrecked, and all sorts of other bad things this week. UND scheduled them as their home opener (oh by the way is joining the MVC soon).

SLC Players of the Week

Max Lyons from SLU got the SLC Special Teams Player of the Week for his punt return TD and a second punt return to inside the 5. Eugene Bethea got Honorable Mention for Offense after racking up 187 rush yards and 2 TDs.

Don't think they will be able to put up points again this week? They were scoring at will in the first half against Mizzou.
