IMO a fair punishment would be for the players to miss the SB BUT should not miss more than 1 game MAYBE 2 games next year. Yall think that's fair?

Huge Buckeye fan, they should be suspended for the Sugar Bowl and the 1st game of the season. No way should they be allowed to play in the SG....complete hypocricy by the NCAA. However tOSU did self investigate so ill give them that. How many universities would have done so over a tatoo parlor....honestly? I personally dont want to see any of them in a Ohio State uniform again. What they sold is what i have a HUGE issue with.

IMO, 5 games is fair since they set the precedence with AJ Green last year. It should begin with the Sugar and be 4 next year.

Sugar Bowl + first 2 games next season. 5 games is too much, but letting them play in the Sugar Bowl is just absurd.

The only reason they're playing in the SB is because of TV Ratings. Without Pryor, Herron, etc... the game would be a laugher, imo.

I agree with the precedence but I would count the sugar bowl as bigger than 3 games next year. I know it is hypocritical, but I also feel that each situation should be looked at differently. I also feel like aj green got royally screwed, not as much as my boy dez though.

I agree...these players need to be suspended for the Sugar Bowl, and whatever else. They completely disrespected the traditions of Ohio State and do not deserve any special privileges.

All these arguments about what Cam Newton should have or should have got does not matter. These tOSU players knew exactly what they were doing and should be ashamed of themselves.

What is right is right, and what is wrong is wrong.

They should be sitting the Sugar Bowl, while also sitting 2-3 games next season. It's a shitty arse situation, and I don't want any of these assholes representing tOSU again until they serve their suspensions, if ever again.

Well, you gotta have proof that Cam or his father received funds, but there are none. The Tattoo thing on the other hand. The proof is there in ink.

I truly hope that Tressel takes this into his own hands and suspends them for the Sugar on his own. I know Hog fans won't like that, and a lot of football fans won't like that, but that is how it should be.

I was never a huge TP fan, and now I will never cheer for him again

Edit: what rule did they break exactly? I'm sure it's been posted here but selling their personal stuff seems dumb to me

Since Dez Bryant lost his eligibility for a lunch with Deion, I think they should all get the boot for life. Fair is fair.

Looks like Ohio State did initially suspend the players.

Most of those guys (Pryor/Posey/Herron/Adams) will probably do the draft if the 5 games stick (OSU is appealing). And yes, it's unbelievable that they can play in the bowl game. Although it is what the Big 10 (ie-Delaney), Sugar Bowl reps, NCAA and the school wanted.

To the poster that discusses OSU's large compliance dept/number of violations-the two go hand in hand. I would expect the school w/the largest compliance dept. and the most number of varsity sports to have the most number of violations. I would also expect the largest comp. dept. at the largest school. Many, if not most violations go unreported at most schools.

They should not play in the Sugar Bowl; suspend them for 1-3 games next year.

I think there is something to this. Why else not sit them for the Sugar Bowl?
