I really hope this doesn't interfere with their NBA previews

I think it's more because he called out his employer than anything else.

I miss Boston Homer Simmons.

Now he's NBA Simmons, and he's just not as good to me.

In his NFL preview he said if the Pats won their first two games they were going 14-2 so Boston Homer Simmons is still very much there.

I don't care for his NBA analysis but he's been spot on with the goddell issue.

His write up/mailbag a week or 2 ago was money.

He's usually right on the money with a lot of things. Y'all just seem to still hold a grudge for his Jrue Holiday trade analysis

It's not that

He just seems "behind" on the modern NBA.

I'm not reading this whole thread to make sure it hasn't been said just so I can quote it and say "this".

But how is it that Stephen A Smith got a ONE week suspension for saying women who don't want to get hit should stop instigating it, but Simmons gets 3 for calling a liar a liar?

Love the Cousin Sal podcasts. I think he's been right on the Goodell issue including quoting what Goodell said to Sean Payton about ignorance not being an excuse. He also brought up how strange it was that Goodell destroyed all the spygate tapes. Compared him to Nixon. IMO this is ESPN bowing down to the nfl.

He criticized the golden goose that is the NFL. I bet the NFL pulled some strings on this like they got ESPN to pull support for that concussion documentary.

He's still pretty entertaining (I missed the trade value column this year) and watches a ton of games. Yet when Lowe is on the BS report, you can almost feel him rolling his eyes or very carefully choosing his words when Simmons goes off the reservation.
