ESPN 30 for 30: In The Shadows: The Watson Brown story

Now this is going to be must see TV. ESPN is doing a 30 for 30 about Watson Brown always being in his brother Mack's shadow. The special will focus on how this dynamic has affected their relationship not just as brothers but also as dang good head ball coaches.

surely this is a joke.

Watson Brown is a pretty miserable coach, actually.

found this on his Wiki:

Brown is the first coach in NCAA football history to lose 200 games

In all his years of coaching he only went to 1 bowl game with UAB a loss in the Hawaii bowl and 1 first round exit in the 1aa playoffs.

They're running out of things to cover.

Not really Watson is a really good coach. Never been at a good school though.

One of the worst of all time. Vandy lost to SMU something like 42 -14 the year after SMU came back from the death penalty

SPN is just trying to pump some sunshine into Mack brown arse.
they cant do a 30 for 30 on Mack because people will finally realize that he only has three conference championships and 1 natty(thanks to a once in a lifetime player).

One of the worst of all time. Kept getting jobs and kept sucking at them. Only has two winning seasons of his entire career iirc

Sounds boring as hell

I didn't realize until I checked his Wikipedia page that he's the first college football coach with 200 losses.
I also saw that he has a 1 win season at three different schools, something that has to be a record.
Also, in over 30 years of being a head coach, he's only been to 1 (!) bowl game and made only 1 appearance in the FCS playoffs. Two postseason appearances in 31 years is unbelievable.

Writing Caddyshack is a bigger accomplishment than anything either Mack or Watson Brown have done.

Lol you're high. Bill Clark did as good at UAB in year 1 as Brown ever did at UAB, save one year with Darrell Hackney and Roddy White
On behalf of Birmingham, AL, frick Watson Brown

From the title I thought it was going to be about him being gay.
From the lousiness of his coaching I am surprised he isn't one of their CFB "experts".

quote:His brother wasn't so hot either. Sure he got a Natty (thanks to Vince Young), but he also got butt-fricked by Bob Stoops regularly. In twenty-nine years as a head coach Mack Brown won exactly two conference championships.
Watson Brown is a pretty miserable coach, actually.
