Nope, that team had Joe Dumars (Finals MVP), Rodman, and Laimbeer. I sort of agree with Hakeem though, but he did have a young Sam Cassell and young Robert Horry on the team (1994). But in 95 he had Clyde Drexler on his side...so....

I've been telling everyone that for years. Hardly anyone in the modern NBA has "won a title on their own." But yet, people wanted Lebron to do it in Cleveland.
What makes me most frustrated are Kobe nut-huggers who refuse to realize that Kobe had significant help for all 5 of his championships. 3 with Shaq (the most dominant big man in the game); 2 with Bynum and Gasol. Without Shaq/Gasol/Bynum, the Lakers were getting knocked out every season in the first round by the Phoenix Suns.

Cassell and Horry had a combined 1 all star appearance. The Rockets' 2nd best player in 94 was Otis Thorpe, who only had 1 all star appearance.

While this is true, I think the issue have is that if you are a true superstar, they expect you to stay with your team and then bring in other talent, rather than going to someone else's team. If the Heat win, no one will be saying that Wade's ring was cheapened because Lebron was there. Likewise, if Wade had somehow gone to Cleveland, people wouldn't have held it against Lebron.
Pretty much all of the all-time greats had another great player on their team, but very few of them switched teams to make it happen.

yeah but that team was DEEP with pretty good players. In fact 10 out of the 15 players averaged over 14 ppg per 36 minutes.

The effect is still the same though, either way. Lebron leaves Cleveland to join other great players because he couldn't do it "on his own". Kobe bitches and moans/demands trade so the Lakers trade for Gasol because he couldn't "do it on his own."
Not all players have the luxury of being drafted to a team (well traded to team) that has the most dominant big man the game has ever seen.
Kobe is a great player. Lebron is too. But if Lebron wins a ring in Miami i won't appreciate it any less than Kobe winning one with Shaq. Kobe just never had to leave LA to play with great players because a) they were already there; b) LA doesn't have a hard time attracting stars, unlike Cleveland.

So we just overlook the 4 former all stars on that last Cavs team (Shaq, Jamison, Big Z and Mo Williams)?

Shaq was about 150 and broken down by the time he got to Cleveland. When he was with the Lakers he was averaging around 30/12/2.5 compared to 12/7/1 the year with Cleveland

Keyword is former all-stars. Other than Mo Williams, who was an all-star while Lebron was in Cleveland? Maybe Big Z for a season or two? Toward the end of Lebron's stay in Cleveland, Big Z was barely playing.
That comment was beyond absurd.

Why is no one complaining about Howard wanting to join another superstar because he couldn't win one on his own? Much like Lebron in cleveland.
Dwight Howard didn't come in with those hype of any amateur athlete since at least Wilt Chamberlain. He also didn't come in promising multiple championships either. Besides, the Magic haven't given Howard a supporting cast anything like what LeBron had those last 2-3 years in Cleveland. It's one thing to have Dwight be the defensive catalyst of his team, but there isn't a true 1/2 scoring option on that team and there hasn't been one since he got there.

I don't know about you, but this magic roster from 2008-2009 is better than the Cavs.

Wade is my favorite player in the NBA and the Heat are my team, but Wade for Howard would be a great trade for the Heat, and Orlando would get back a top 5 player for him.
There would almost not be a reason to say people were competing for championships. The Miami team would be unstoppable.
I have felt for awhile the Heat should trade Wade for legit big men.

Name the other star on the 1994 Rockets.

Star or good player? Those aren't overlapping ideas. For example, Josh Smith is a damn good player and one of the top 5 Power Forwards in the league in terms of talent, but I'd hardly call the guy a star.
As someone mentioned before, the 1994 Rockets had Hakeem and a few good other players, like Thorpe, Cassell, Horry, Kenny, and Maxwell.
