Mangino and Leach were both bad firings.
Mangino was a good coach. "Wahhh he was mean"

On field performance-wise.... Bobby Petrino
Strictly from a win-loss scenario, this is also an excellent choice.

quote:
On January 8, 2010, Leavitt was fired after an investigation by USF officials found that he had struck a player in the locker room during halftime of a game against Louisville the previous November 21. Leavitt claimed he was merely trying to console the player and never struck him. School officials found that Leavitt was not truthful about what happened, and also found that he had interfered with the investigation.[7] ESPN's Ivan Maisel reported that Leavitt's interference, which included telling several players and coaches to change their stories, was the biggest factor in the decision to fire him.[8] The Tampa Tribune reported that school president Judy Genshaft and athletic director Doug Woolard felt they had no choice but to fire Leavitt after he refused to admit he had done anything wrong.

Tubberville at Auburn to only replace him with Chizik.

8 years with a Frank Beamer offense and Top 5 talent deserves a shite ton of criticism

Should have retired sooner. The program was declining toward the end of his tenure.

Which makes it all the more amusing that fat arse Weis was openly calling his players a pile of crap in the media and on recruiting trips.

And covering it up when it probably only would have gotten him some anger management classes was even stupider.

He has to be the worst coach to win a national title or be tied with Larry Coker

These are both good ones. Interesting that they both got fired for abusing players.

I think Mangino probably got fired for good cause. Leach's firing on the other hand, was a complete fraud.
