No predictions from me as I have no clue on either team. I just can't wait to watch Luke Kennard. Kid is a stud.

Jamal Murray
Tyler Ulis

Two best guards on the floor tonight...both play for Kentucky.

Would love to see him have a big night. He lost his legs a little bit last game after playing the night before.

As far as predictions, I haven't watched enough Kansas or Michigan State to really throw one out. I think we probably drop one to Duke tonight, largely because Poythress is still recovering and hasn't gotten that aggressiveness back yet. And the young guys can be streaky. Should be a good measuring stick though and I'm excited.

Duke/Kentucky will be a guards game...and Kentucky has the better guards in my opinion.

For some reason Michigan State tends to get blown out in these type of early match-ups. So I predict a Kansas win though I'm rooting for MSU and a Duke win.

MSU does often lose the unique early season games they schedule like UNC on the aircraft carrier (Izzo can't beat Roy Williams period), UCONN at the Germany Airforce base, Kentucky at the Ford Field game a decade ago, etc. They have done pretty well in the Champions Classic though, sitting at 2-2 and their team last year was really a rebuilding year team that had no business playing UK or Duke.

In this game Kansas will be without stud recruit freshman Diallo in the paint, but MSU will be missing their starting PF and C in Clark and Schilling. Regardless, MSU has Costello at backup C who is interchangeable with Schilling and stud freshman recruit Deyonta Davis at PF who is already better than Clark most likely. In Diallo's absence I would expect MSU to be able to make some plays down low and I would expect MSU to cover the spread and potentially win. MSU getting points is a good bet here.

What is his head-to-head record? I googled but couldn't find.

Kentucky and Kansas.

We need Murray to have a big game though.

Roy is 7-0 over Izzo, all of them blowouts or close to it that I can think of. Post-season, non-conference, on a boat in the ocean, in a football stadium, in the national championship game, at MSU, you name it. Roy also beat two of Izzo's most talented teams in 2013 and 2010 when UNC was not very good and rebuilding.

Damn. I like Izzo and enjoy watching his team, but it's hard to argue he's one of the best when he gets dominated so consistently by Coach K and Roy W.

Whenever I think of Izzo vs Roy, I think of the 2009 NCAA championship game. An absolute massacre.

Well his teams usually play well against Kansas, UK, and Louisville. You can find knocks on just about every coach except Coach K.

Duke by 5
KU by 7

That's if Self opens it up and let's everyone shoot 3's. If not, we lose by 15.
