Brady has had to work with less than Montana.

Otto Graham was a complete athlete in a way Brady is not and probably only two or three others may have been. Graham played pro basketball for the league champs the year before he started playing pro football. he led his baseball college team in batting average. as a college all star he led the college all star basketball team to a win over the pro champs. He was a two way football player. He made an INT which he took back 97 yards, against Sammy Baugh in the college all star vs pro champ game.
Graham won several pro football championships.
Clobbered NFL champ Green Bay in the transition game for Cleveland from american league to NFL.

Thank you for telling me not to engage you in sports conversation again. Terry Bradshaw isn't even the best quarterback in Steelers history but he's the third best in NFL history. Yeah okay.

On offense? Yes. But Brady has had better defenses and the league is more water downed today than it was when Montana was playing.

ETA: Montana did win one in 1981 before Rice, Craig, and Tyler got there.

Lost in Groot's idiocy was this idiocy from SportsGuyNola

quote:

Joe Montana was a system quarterback. Nothing more, nothing less.

He benefitted from a forward-thinking offensive genius head coach and offense AND defense loaded with stars.

He does NOT belong in the same conversation with a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady and is NOT a Top 5 overall quarterback.

Give Elway The Hoodie, any of the Pats D,Adam Vinetari or Randy Moss.

Some of you braindead morons are too idiotic to even have discussions with.

Brady never even won a Super Bowl with Moss.

Point is, if Vinatieri misses those two kicks and the Patriots lose in over time without getting ball or Harrison doesn't pick off McNabb when they are driving or butler miss times the jump, are we still having this talk about Brady?

If frogs had wings they wouldn't bump their asses on the ground.

Again, if it wasn't for the tuck rule or Bledsoe, Brady never even makes that first Super Bowl.

C + P above statement.

He isn't the best talent

The QB position isn't just about talent.

quote:

he doesn't have the best production and he hasn't had the best career either.

He's had the best playoff production and post season career.

quote:

this talk as him as the best quarterback of all time when he is safely outside of the top ten of all time is just silly.

Your brain has AIDS.

10 guys I would safely say are better than Brady in no order:

This will be fun.

quote:

Manning

Career loser who beat arguably the worst starting QB in Super Bowl history and road his defense to his one win? Ok.

quote:

Marino

Sorry, when I meant career loser, I shoulda said "career loser outsider out the biggest stat slut loser of all-time Marino".

quote:

Elway

Great player, not on Brady's level.

quote:

Montana

One of two players you can make an argument for being better than Brady.

quote:

Young

A very good player who benefited from an offensive orgy of talent. Couldn't come close to doing what he did if he had Brady's surrounding cast.

quote:

Fouts

Now you're being a moron.

quote:

Tarkenton

LOVE Tarkenton. Maybe my favorite QB growing up, one of the first guys who really called his own game as they do today but never gets credit for it. Were it not for the Hail Mary he'd have a Super Bowl, but no he's not better than Brady.

quote:

Rodgers

Has potential but right now he's really just potential and not production (wins wise). He also has an absurd amount of offensive weapons around him. Like Brady, though, he gets credit for doing it his entire career in cold outdoor weather.

quote:

Favre

The most overrated player in NFL history? The guy who was the GOAT at doing the worst thing a QB can possibly do? Nah, this is idiotic.

quote:

Brees

Huge Saints fan, this is beyond stupid.

quote:

I have arguments for Moon, Unitas, Graham, Aikman, Kelly, and Warner as well.

Atleast you got one guy right. Here's the only other guy you can argue with over Brady.

Also, I saw you included Aikman and Warner and the biggest choker or them all in Kelly. This list is just moronic.

Kelly played fine in 2 superbowls. Vs skins he had the 2 td 4 int game which was brutal and in the other he was hurt early in game...and the bills had 9 turnovers as a team they all shite the bed that game.
and i think the bills were underdogs in every game but giants and if norwood makes a kick then is kelly still biggest choker of all time?
