“Not to diminish anything Joe Montana did or Steve Young did or in that system. But that system, you know, John had — Elway had to do this thing kind of on his own. Right? Peyton kind of becomes the system when he comes in. With that west coast system, it really is designed for the quarterback to be successful. So those guys while they are in the conversation, to me personally, it’s just a little more unique what Elway and Peyton have been able to do. Tom Brady is in a system. He’s been able to be in the system system that’s been the same for his whole career which is a great luxury. Again, i want to go back and reiterate what i said earlier. [Brady's] legacy is more about leadership and desire and coaching his own players up even more than it is about what he’s accomplished on the field.

I agree with some of the things Drew said, especially about Elway not having much help. But I'm not buying the system thing with Brady OR Montana. Those guys still played/are playing really great football over long careers.

Brady's Runningbacks in the SB:

Antwan Smith (2 times)
Corey Dillon
Lawrence Maroney
Benjarvis Green Ellis
Legarette Blount

Average Super Bowl yards= 60 yards. No 100 yard rushers

Antwan smith numbers alone bumps that average up by 20 yards

A lot of players have played in similar systems, but they don't have 4 super bowl wins.

So he's bitter. I can understand. I don't even blame him. That's crushing. I really think he thought he was starting against the Rams immediately after the AFC title game. That's a tough pill to swallow.

He was the super star, then Brady comes in goes to 6 Super Bowls and wins 4

Bledsoe was awesome and had a good career, but just shut up and have some dignity

He did have a hell of a game against Pittsburgh though. He was awesome

Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison would have many rings if Brady was their QB.

If the system is so great, why doesn't everyone run it?

They try to act buddy buddy but Everytime I see Brady-Bledsoe together in pictures I can just feel Bledsoe clenching his teeth.

I don't blame him, it's not humanly possible to just be cool with what happened. That's got to just naw at you for life.

Bledsoe has to feel like he could have won a couple of Super Bowls with that team.

Of course, we can't be sure of that. Just based on the fact that they were 13-14 point underdogs against the Rams, they probably don't win that game.

2003 and 2004, they were just awesome. Still, they had to travel to Pittsburgh in 2004.

He had a 100 million dollar contract before they were the norm

If he stays, those 2003 and 2004 teams probably aren't as talented as they were.

Not to mention they dumped him on a divisional rival past his prime for a 1st round pick.

I mean, he was 30. He probably just went to a worse team.
