When I first saw that story, my first thought was "wait, isn't this a colossal invasion of privacy to post a medical record??" I generally like Schefter, but that was a horrendous move.
As for Broussard, he is absolutely terrible.

Had he been dead in '63, Edward R. Murrow would have rolled over in his grave to Kronkite showing emotion during the Kennedy assassination. Let's not be ridiculous. Journalism is simply not what it use to be. Everyone's got an agenda and puts their own emotions and perspectives on news.

Wait so yall treat potential HIPAA violations like the fricking nuclear codes but Broussard giving up his source is just nothing? I doubt Cuban was driving around any Texas town last night frantically texting multiple people to get Jordan's address but I doubt Broussard made that up out of thin air and there's no way he should tell Cuban "well Steve told me that".

Well then he should be prepared for nobody to ever believe he has sources. Should Cuban be able to start posting tweets to the effect of "source: Chris Broussard frantically driving around downtown Cleveland looking to give blowjobs for crack"? You can't just make shite up and hide behind fake sources.

I don't know what phone plan Cuban has, but I would imagine he could text anyone from wherever he is. He doesn't need to fly to the city to send the text messages.
In regards to his demand for proof, Cuban has mentioned on Shark Tank several times that he owes a company that allows you to scrub all history of social media (don't recall if texts are included) after 24 hours. So, if he did frantically reach out to people and it's as good as he claims; it's a pretty safe demand.

You are probably talking about his cyberdust app.
Its essentially snap chat but it doesnt save anything you send on a server somewhere.
I seriously doubt he was using it to contact people in an effort to get in touch w/DJ b/c the people you contact need to have the app installed.
