Does ESPN's Chris Broussard consider himself a journalist?

He's getting fricking own by Mark Cuban on Twitter right now. Pretty hilarious.

Sports "journalism" these days is basically just who can tweet a story first, regardless of accuracy

Yep. And it is all about who can "report" the most outrageous thing.

This and Adam Shefter's post of JPP's medical report have to be major black eyes for ESPN.

And I am glad Cuban is not letting Broussard get away with it.

then ESPN takes that and puts it on their Bottom Line and passes it as their own work....

This isn't even the worst piece of journalism on the Network from last night

The JPP shite is so disgusting to the profession

Yeah how did that fly? Didn't they basically just tweet a medical chart/report?

Didn't he once get caught pretending like some NBA player had given him inside information when it ended up all being on the player's Twitter? I think he went on a rant about "haters" afterwards.

Assuming Chris Broussard is telling the truth... I wonder who his multiple sources are?

Why would they do him dirty like that?

Schefter did. And then Sportscenter ran with it that hour

They came out and said that they don't have any reason to care about HIPPA legally, (which may be true but it's just a colossal dick move that's murky at best legally). Yet they pulled it from Sportscenter later so obviously they didn't feel 100 percent right to run with it.

The stupid part is that they could have just stated that he lost his fingers in a "report" and it would've been just as believed. Tweeting the chart is just unbelievably unprofessional, creepy, and stupid

Not murky legally for ESPN and Shefter. They are not covered by hipaa and are well protected by freedom of press. Just a poor move ethically and professionally. Completely unnecessary as well.

I'm waiting on the cross-eyed pic of Broussard with the quote "multiple sources."

The "sources" business seems to be at it's worst during coaching change seasons. I generally don't believe anything until I see a coach at a press conference wearing a new tie.

Both Broussard and Schefter deserve to be fired imo.
