Tebow just hit a HR for the Mets in his first at-bat. I think that's probably as close as you're gonna get.

You put examples without mentioning the best, Bo Jackson?

Nah. Players make too much in both sports for either to risk a real asset to the other.

Nope. Teams have way too much invested in athletes these days to risk them getting injured playing another sport.

I dont think so. The salaries are so much higher now, an owner would likely want him to play only one sport, as he would be making a much larger investment in his player than was made in Jackson/Sanders back in the day.

Look up Shaq Thompson's minor league baseball stats. I think he could have made it.

Thompson was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 18th round of the 2012 MLB Draft, and played for the Sox' rookie-level team in the Gulf Coast League in the summer of 2012.[3] He decided to end his baseball career and focus on football full-time after he went 0–39 with 37 strikeouts over 13 games.

Nate Ebner sorta counts. Plays for Patriots and had a USA 7s rugby contract to train for and play on the Olympic squad.

Jim Thorpe played professional baseball, basketball and football. Also won gold medals in the Summer Olympics in Decathalon and Pentatholon.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a player play in the NBA for a year or two before becoming a TE.

Ebner definitely counts. Patriots and Olympic Rugby. Plus he did play for a Pro 10-a-side rugby team in Japan while training for the Olympics.
