I like him, the first year I really got into NBA bball was 2007- he pretty much single handedly beat the pistons in 6 in the Eastern Conference FInals, who just seemed like the "bad guys" of the league at the time. The Cavs would go on to get beat like a drum by the Spurs, which really only made me like him more because he lost with humility and it showed the world that he's only human.

Lebron's always seemed like a humble guy, when he does ham it up for the media it really comes across as more nerdy/corny than self-serving, and I think he's a pretty good role model.

I'm pretty indifferent toward him at this point. I recognize he's the best on the planet right now but...

The debate is over. He's not better than MJ in my eyes and will never eclipse at this point and that is perfectly fine. I need to say that again it's okay that he won't be better than him. I enjoy his game, but I also think his style of play makes it harder for his teammates to ascend to greatness.

For the most part, he is the best opition on the low post for any team he's on, so you really can't have a big camp out there. He's also an amazing passer so he likes the ball at the top of the key to survey the offense. Looking at Kyrie and K-Love this year, they do a lot of standing around.

He is such a dominant player that the movement stops unless you're a Miller/Battier/Allen type coming off of screens.

I respect him, but KD is on his heels at this point. I might actually cheer for him down the road to get one more, but he's going to have to let Kyrie and Love have a little more control.

They're fricked this year though, barring a miracle trade.

Yes. For two reasons:

He's from Ohio

He always made Jamar Butler jealous(they were a year apart I believe, both holding the Mr Ohio Basketball title). He was a huge POS, so it made me smile when he said things like "I could go straight to the NBA too" or "I'm just as good as him"

the hate on him is just jealousy... as far as "the decision", that shite is played out, and if you ain't from cleveland, why would you STILL hold some sort of dumb arse grudge against him? shite, even people from Cleveland got over it after a year or so... as far as a person, you never hear about him doing wrong, cheating on his wife, doing drugs, fricking around with guns, etc.... he's clean as a whistle, and in this day and age, with cameras and shite EVERYWHERE, that's impressive as hell... for the most part, the new mature LeBron is the quintessential role model for kids.... superstar on the court, and upstanding man off it...

Nope. Dude seems fake, and the way he prances around the court is second to none. I have no problems with his talent, it's downright incredible theater. I just think his personality is grating as frick.

I like him. Seems like a good dude who just wants people to like him. But that's part of the problem. See: Clamming up vs. the Celtics in 2010, the Mavs in 2011, and Spurs in 2014. That kind of mental hangup is not acceptable for someone who's supposedly challenging for GOAT.

He's such a unique talent and physical specimen. I'd say he's interchangeable with Shaq as far as being the second best player of the past 20 years goes.

I'm pretty old school with LeBron. I was like in middle school when he came into the league.

I pulled for him while he was in Miami. Also when he was with the Cavs when they played the Celtics because I'm a Lakers fan first.

Indifferent now. I enjoy watching him because he is the best right now. But since he isn't in Miami, I don't much care whether he wins or loses.

As a 27 year old I am in a similar boat. I never really watched much of the NBA growing up myself. I started following a bit more when LeBron got drafted and became a star.

Most of the way I feel about LBJ has already been said but Ill add:
-Liked him before the Miami days
-"the Decision" was the douchiest thing I've ever seen
-Cleveland tried so hard to keep him and instead of telling them to trade him, he really left that franchise in shambles by leaving in FA
-everything he did after the decision was for publicity
-then the "chosen one" tats really started to bother me
-the "what should I do" commercial - second douchiest thing I've ever seen
-once he realized people didn't like him in Miami every interview he did was like a whiny bitch...stoic, seemed uncaring, arrogant, never seemed like he enjoyed himself
-teaming up with at the time 2 of the top 5 players in the NBA seemed like a lame move and if you're proclaiming that you are the "chosen one" then you shouldn't need those 2 (plus Ray Allen later)
-flops like a bitch when he's much bigger than all his predocessors (260lbs); MJ was 215
-the whole "not 1, not 2, not 3.."
-some may see LBJ going back to Cleveland as like a "ok I want to be loyal and make things right" but bc of his history i see him saying "how can I generate the biggest story? How about going home? That way I can stay on top of the news"

I certainly appreciate his talent because he's the best of this generation I just hope every time he steps on the court he loses
