No one would give him credit for winning. They'd just say he got his ring on the coattails of Steph Curry.

Why would Durant care about this

Safe to say that all NBA players especially those on KDs level care about their legacy.

No.

Jesus, do you know ANYthing about basketball? Have you watched a SECOND of the past two Finals? Hell, through past three?

Deep benches are essential to the success of teams that play the style they do today.

That's the thing, people may say that as it's happening.

But 20 years from now, no one would care, they would just remember KD as the dude with the rings.

I thought people were in favor of superstars winning championships "on their own." Now it's ok for KD to sign with an all-time top 3 team?

No people will ALWAYS remember that Lebron won his titles by making a superteam, and if Durant goes to the Warriors he will be viewed the same. If Durant wins a title in OKC his place on the all time list is higher than if he goes to GSW and wins one.

Owl, he's a free agent now. He can do a one year deal, and sign again with next years money, which is more. After 2017 deal, he will stay somewhere. He has choices. He is in demand , not an old man, hat in hand.

It would be great for his legacy if he went to the Pelicans and teamed up with Anthony Davis and led a lottery pick team before he got there to a NBA title in the next 3 years.

Jrue Holiday
Murray/Dunn/Hield
Durant
AD
Whoever (they could go big or small here)

Would be a great line up if the rookie they pick at 6 pans out
