Winston still has not been interviewed by police, correct? So he never denied sleeping with this woman, correct? If he hasn't even been questioned yet, how do they have his DNA on file to make a match?

I'm sure all of this has been covered already, so can someone please fill me in? Thanks

He gave DNA I assume he answered questions. Maybe he plead the fifth, who knows. It will come out tomorrow morning and the warrant for his arrest may already be processed.

As of last night, he was not interviewed by police or anything like that, AT ALL since the incident.

Obviously if they got his DNA he had to of been with police. But i havent read anything about how they got the DNA. So not sure.

I just read an article by CBS Sports, published within the last 20 minutes or so, that stated the State Attorney's office wasn't even made aware of this particular case until the story broke on TMZ last week.

And those are idiot sidewalks that are still pissed he left the state two years ago, if their fandom even reaches that far back.

Yeah, I bet you totally could see this coming a couple years ago

So, we made it to page nine before this got stupid and became a thread about football?

Well you knew that was coming.

With all due respect though he sorta made it about football himself. Just saw him saying he hopes this doesn't keep him from getting heisman votes because the heisman is important to him.

Jameis gets suspended and misses the title game. It comes to light in the trial that the girl was a bama fan and offered him a beej to lay a diabolical plan to lead the gumps to another title.

Just read an ESPN article that said Jameis have the DNA sample. It also said the case was moved to inactive when the girl broke off contact with the police back in February. Also if it makes any difference, they quoted Meggs as saying he doesn't plan to take it before a grand jury and will wait until he has all the information before moving forward

Yeah, that was reported and confirmed by Meggs when this first broke.

Meggs is a good guy and I have no doubt that he is furious about the way this was handled by the TPD and FSU.

If he isn't arrested within the week then it is clear he isn't being treated like a normal citizen would.

DNA evidence is pretty damning. She wasn't intoxicated and correctly ID'd her suspect, right after the crime was committed.

The bottom line is this: if ANY of us were huge sports celebrities and we were falsely accused of rape we would call a press conference and tell the world this is bullshite! The fact that he hasn't proves he is guilty.

Meggs told ESPN.com on Wednesday that he probably will not take the case before a grand jury, saying his office would ultimately decide whether it believes it has sufficient evidence to charge Winston with a crime.

"I'm not stupid," Meggs said. "It is a young man whose life is in a fish bowl right now. I think about that. There's also a young girl whose life has been turned upside down and her life will never be the same, either. We look at it and say, 'Which one of those is most important?' Both. It is a search for the truth and the truth is kind of elusive sometimes."

The fact that the TPD and FSUs lawyer worked so hard together to keep this hush hush shows he is def guilty of something.
