I knew they'd be good, but assumed they'd be tight to begin the season... Never expected this.

So much fun to watch

I knew they would be really good, I don't think anyone expected this great of a start. They just haven't slumped as a team yet. There have been times where the heart of the lineup has struggled and other guys have just stepped up and produced. Cubs lost Schwarber and have not missed a beat. And the pitching....my goodness.

-Matt Szczur has a key grand slam that helped win a ball game

-Ryan Kalish fresh out of AAA Iowa had a key 2 run single today that helped win a ballgame.

-Tim Federowicz had gotten some hits.

Guys are stepping up and making plays/getting knocks when they are needed. The team is versatile and has many guys that can play multiple positions. They are smart and patient at the plate and really make pitchers work. It is a long season and I'm sure the team will slump at some point, it's inevitable. Right now however, they are playing some of the best baseball I have seen in my entire life of watching Cubs baseball.

Not this early, thought it would take some time before they believed they were this good.. They will undoubtedly have a slump and how they react will be fun to watch..

Yes, they have stars at damn near every position.

Unfortunately Cardinal management didn't though

I thought they'd be good, they are too loaded to not be. But this is impressive.

Hopefully they keep it up all season.

Is theo Epstein the best executive in baseball?

He could oversee the breaking of a combined 200 years worth of championship droughts

As an outsider(astros fan), I thought they would win 100 games. I still feel like they will. Great team. Also, dexter is a great guy and I'm glad he is having success.

Who are the teams that have the elite pitching to contend this year? Mets vs Mets world series?

I expected them to be a 95-100 win team that won 105- 110 games because of all of the NL rebuilding. But It looks like they're a 105 win team that may win 115.

They seem to not just be the best team in baseball but could be a historically great team - so no, I didn't see anyone predicting that before the season started.

The combination of a great manager with a great GM is pretty potent.
