Did anyone else have a problem with the 1st down spike

On Dallas last drive? I thought they should've just kept going. Hated seeing them waste a down there. Those seconds they saved came back to haunt them.

Its tough because they were 3 yards from it being a good call. Idk, I think im ok with it, but not like I think it was necessarily a good or bad decision

It cost them an important down, the seconds they thought they were saving were not worth it.

Exactly, this wasn't Garretts finest hour

I didn't understand spiking on 1st and 10 with 48 seconds left and wasting a down. Run a play there.

Oh yea, thats obviously true and easy to say after the fact. But I also respect trying to save time to go for the win vs going for the tie. You cant really use the timeout there cuz you need it in case you have to kick a last second field goal, but you really hurt yourself in going for the win if you dont spike the ball.
I do buy the "youre at home so its ok to go to OT" argument though. But so much depends on the coin toss.
I do agree with the post above that mentioned running a quick play tho. Wasnt really paying attention to whether they were disorganized or something to prevent at least a quick pass towards the sideline

It was obviously a bad call because they still had one timeout remaining after the drive

Yea but if they get a first down on 3rd and 3 and end up getting stuck later in the drive and get sacked or some shite and have to use a TO to kick a field goal, its a genius call

If they didn't spike the ball the 3rd and 3 play is only 2nd and 3

I had a bigger problem with this

There were a lot of holding calls that were missed today. Shitty officiating

Gotta help the defense out somehow

That was the one that allowed the game deciding play though
