No one except a Clemson fan would pick Watson over VY

Watson will be the better pro QB, but Vince Young in college was just retarded. He was like a 97 Overall in NCAA

Vince was better for about 15 games or so, he was unstoppable from the 2004 Rose Bowl through the 2005 season. Complete body of work though, Watson has been great for now 2.5 seasons.

People forget Vince Young was AWFUL for most of his first two seasons, leaning on Cedric Benson and an OL with four future NFL draft picks. A switched just flipped around the end of the 2004 season (and Mack Brown changed the offense up, a move he gets essentially no credit for).

Statistically it's pretty close and you could easily (and I will if anyone wants) that Watson was better statistically. Plus he's just as much of a winner.

frick it I'll take Watson to spice the thread up.

That being said, Watson against Bama last year was every bit as great as Young against USC. The three greatest individual college QB performances I've seen are those two and Manziel against Bama in 2013.

AKA: They stopped fricking with his mechanics and forcing him to stay in the pocket and just let him go out and make plays.

Anyone who thinks Watson is better than Young deserves nothing but the worst.

Vince Young had one good year in college. That is it.

Is this a joke- Watson has a better career (especially if he wins in a week) but peak Vince was the greatest college player of all time (not career- he's not Tebow or Frazier or Leinart).

Put it this way- flip Jake Browning and Rose Bowl Vince and I take UW in the Peach Bowl.

Yes, two national title game performances and a meaningless regular season game-- totally similar.

Hell- I'll take Tebow in the SEC title game in 2008 over the 2013 Manziel performance.
