The driver’s side of the car was submerged in the pond, so the officer approached the passenger side and knocked on the window to wake the two up, according to the report. The report said Robinson then “opened his eyes and then went back to sleep.”
quote:
The officer continued to knock on the window until the passenger, 29-year-old Marissa O. Staples of Cincinnati, said “what’s up,” according to the report. The officer explained the car was in a pond and they needed to get out. Staples attempted to roll the window back up but the officer was able to reach in and unlock the door, according to the report. Staples had to be pulled from the car because she refused to exit, according to the report, and Robinson was asleep the whole time.
quote:
authorities determined he was not impaired and should not face a DUI charge, according to the report.

Sounds like the world would be a better place if she had just stayed in the car

Why, because she was wasted and didn't know what was going on?

It's fricking hot out there. Sometimes a man just needs to cool off a little bit.

Drove my Chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die."

There was no intent for Denard to drive his Impala into the retention pond. No reasonable prosecutor would take this case, so no reason to suspect driving while under the influence.

Denard Robinson has always been a fluid athlete.
I expected him to make a splash this year.
Sometimes it helps when you have a running back that is also a deep threat.

He missed hitting the pond by a shoestring.

Asking that is a great way to make sure people who didn't originally down vote it take the time to go back and do so.
