Moved to KC few months ago, and debating going to see the game Thursday night. Gonna be cold as hell, but figured it would be an awesome atmosphere considering they are playing the Raiders.

Any of you been to a Chief's game before?

Yes, go. Used to live in KC. The atmosphere is more collegiate than pro with the enthusiasm, especially for a divisional game.

I've wanted to go recently myself but haven't had the time. It's a great atmosphere from what I understand. Maybe I'll make a Royals game this spring.

I went to the Saints game up there this year. The fans I talked to said there is 2 games you don't want to attend. The Raiders and Broncos. We had a great time other than the Saints losing.

Best NFL game atmosphere I've been to, and I'm not a Chiefs fan. Tailgating is really good, but I haven't been to a Thursday night game before so it might be paired down.

Chiefs games are a lot of fun. The BBQ in the parking lot is some of the best in the world. I went to Joe Montana and Marcus Allen's first game (pre-season). It was against Buffalo, who obv was elite at the time. I was 9 or 10. Awesome experience. I think gameday in KC is as good as it gets in the NFL.

At one time, the Chiefs and Raiders had the best rivalry in the NFL. The Raiders have sucked for so long, but those teams and fan bases hate each other. KC has a ton of Mexicans who love the Raiders, so yeah there will likely be a few trashy fights but that's the NFL.

Also, I heard Thursday they are opening up Arrowhead at Noon so it's guaranteed to be lit. Both teams playing for 1st place and a likely bye.

Go, go, go. Thursday night will be by far the best atmosphere in the NFL this season. You'll probably see more fights than you've ever seen in your life, especially since the lots open at NOON, but that shouldn't be a surprise. Get there early and take in the best tailgating experience in the league.

3 hour wait getting into the parking lot. 4 hour wait getting out of the parking lot.

You have to really love the Chiefs to put up with their ingress/egress strategy.

I was wondering if parking would be as bad as a Tiger game

Yeah, it sucks getting in and out of the parking lot. I went to a game on Christmas Eve a long time ago. It was cold, and rained, but it was a great atmosphere there. Had seats close to field too.

It is a must do. Arrowhead is a great venue. The BBQ smell and people are fantastic.
Arrowhead is the loudest stadium in the NFL I have been to and can not wait to go back.

P & L is great time also. Only thing I suggest is stay away from Wyandotte and dress warmly if it's a late December game.

If you go to Gates and they yell at you going through the door, just smile and say yes
