They'll just put a smaller plate on the cars to slow them down.

Good thing they don't let the fans stand next to the fence like the old days.

Well, honestly, the fans were along the fence, and if this were the 500, they would have been all along the fence. Nascar was just fortunate this was the 300 and not the 500. If this were the 500, there would have been many more injuries.

The tire had part of the suspension still attached to it.
Speed just interviewed a guy that was two rows behind a man that was hit by the tire. Said the force knocked the guy two rows back were they were sitting.

boy they are dropping the ball big time with the presser. "Track will be ready for racing tomorrow" without much mention of the fans
Posted on 2/23/13 at 6:09 pm to shawnlsu
Yep. They will not mention the status of the injured fans.

Track president is a fricking arrogant douche. Seemed like he was being inconvienenced by the whole thing.

I've never seen a car in any wreck just break apart in half like that. Engine totally riped from the engine bay.
Wow...
Go youtube Michael Waltrip Bristol. And off to the side of that video you will see another wreck in the same place at Bristol where the car disintegrated and a guy behind him missed the driver by a foot. Those are the 2 worst crashes I have ever seen.

It was a freak accident. I think he knows the track is going to take the fall. I mean some of that shite went 75 feet into the second level. You cant plan for freak shite o happen.
