Welcome back Dattys! What an honor it is to be with you here for today's opening ceremonies on our 14th or 15th season of Datting. As Tigerdroppings preeminent baseball fraternity (FO ATL thread), you are all tasked with being dignified leaders of this community. A high honor indeed.

Before we get started, let's review our board members and officers for the year

Chairman: Tiger Ryno
Chairman Emeritus: Lou Pai (RIP)
Executive VP/President of graphic arts: Jwho77
Director of DAT/Player relations: Prominentwon
Director of Postgame Operations: 5 Deep
DAT statistician: LSUhoohoo
Director of Optimism and Discipline: LaLadyinTX
Director of FODB division: A Menace to Sobriety

The rest of you were among consideration for positions but immediately upon his appointment Chairman Ryno said it was never winnable and decided to see how it plays out. We'll revisit these appointments and further positions at our mid year board meeting.

All off season business now having been appropriated and settled without further objection or discussion, the 2021-2022 off season is hereby declared closed. It is now Astros baseball season!

So glad to get out of the off season DAT and into the in season DAT. Cheers to another good season baws and bawettes.

Yed and Ted getting 1 and 2 in the MVP race. Accept it.

And I guess since I have an official title, this man can frick off, even though the season hasn't started.

And hoohoo is the perfect man to start the first DAT.

Who is going to be the most hated player on the team this year? Last year to open the season it felt like a toss up between Straw and Castro but Straw really ran away with it

Josh James feels too easy when/if they bring him back up. I really hope Bregman returns to 2018/2019 form, but if he doesn't, he will be so easy to hate if he poos the bed batting between the Ted & Yed piss missiles.

Bregman
Chas if he’s bad
Some random reliever like Neris or Stanek

Are we a union and if so, can we vote out the chairman?

Pena because we all expect him to be better than Correa from his first game to the end of his career.

Can we refer to it as Chairperson? I'm not a biology expert and I wouldn't want to assume anything about the current holder of position.

Odorizzi, probably.

Or one of a handful of relievers.

Goodrum and Odorizzi are good candidates. Goodrum just seems like a player Dusty will play a lot for no reason
