Season on the line, the biggest game of the year. Only one thing left to do...

Continue to play uninspired baseball and have your manager continually make the literal worst decisions and play yourself out of a playoff spot

Bryce Miller has thrown 12.1 scoreless innings against Houston this year. He's ~65% fastball so unlikely the hitters make any sort of adjustment to a one dimensional rookie they are seeing for the third time.

The M's have had Framber's number this year, most recently a fantastic blowup back in mid-August.

It’s over. Regardless of the outcome tonight, I’m 100% certain that Tex and Sea will collude this weekend to try and keep us out of the playoffs. We’re not winning a series in AZ anyway, especially with the bottom of our rotation.

Close your eyes. Walk toward the bright light. It won't hurt. Its almost over. When you wake up, we'll all be together in a Dustyless/Maldyless paradise.

It's so fitting that that Crane firing the GM and riding with Bagwell and Reggie to do it their way is going to result in missing the playoffs for the first time in 7 years.

The off season moves they made in the absence of a GM have been disasters that have largely contributed to this result

Montero

Abreu

Brantley

And that was our off season. But the good news is we've still got 2 more seasons of Montero and Abreu. Hopefully this seasons failures result in some humility from Crane and he's able to realize the roster building insights of Bagwell, Reggie and Dusty aren't worth shite.

You mean Abreu

But we don't have any more seasons with Baker and Maldonado, even if they are back

We all assume Dusty is gone. I do have an underlying fear that being the arrogant SOB he is, he's not going to let the grumbling fans dictate his departure. If Crane isn't willing to repent of his sins and Dusty wants to come back here's the list of excuses...

Dusty Baker is one of the best managers of time

Dusty took us to 3 straight ALCS and 2 world series in his 4 seasons

He was missing Altuve for half the season, Yordan for 40 games. Brantley, McCullers and Garcia for the whole season. Just imagine if we didn't have so many injuries.

If Dusty wants to come back, we welcome him back.

Like I’ve said, if he comes back, I don’t. Once he’s gone, I might.

Good News is barring a very close game tonight we are gonna see a bean brawl. I feel it in my plums. May be Dusty's last chance to f with the Mariners. You know he ain't passing that up if he's up or down big.

Then something about how the DH emboldens guys to throw at you because back in the old days see, a pitcher had to go up to the plate.

I thought back in the old days it was you hit ours, we hit yours. I guess their center fielder has to wear one in the kidneys tonight. Sorry Julio.

The good news, as a fan, is that the things that need to be done are pretty damn obvious. Crane is either going to show he gets it, or show his arse.

In turn, I'll know whether to keep giving a shite.
