Does Duffy get an instant start tonight against the lefty? I assume we;ll ride with Marwin at 1B but I wouldn't mind seeing the PCL MVP get a shot.

Good to hear. Why worry about 1B when we have all the depth we have there? Worse comes to worst and Marwin is needed elsewhere in the IF, Kris Karter's got us kovered.

No Idea, I even looked on Baseball reference to see if he's had any history vs. Hamels, and he's never had a single AB against him.
And he hits .159 vs. Lefties

Cole has neutral splits against lefties & righties for his career - around the same BA against while lefties get on base at a very small higher % than righties.
But considering Val's struggles with LHPs this season, I guess he is in for defensive purposes. Its the only reason I can think of. D'un know

Makes more sense then. Luis has been much more patient as the season has progressed so he'll hopefully make Hamels work tonight.

Kazmir has got to step his shite up. He had two great starts after we got him and it's been a disappointment ever since. 4+ ERA and a notable lack of command.
