I'm not going to lie... that sweep we just witnessed whipped my arse. I feel like I'm going to be wasting my money on my playoff tickets. I'll still buy them and go to the games... but my hopes are somewhat diminished.
Hope I can recover along with the team. I had a hell of a lot of fun going to the Royals playoff games in '15.

70% of the people in this small Tiger Droppings community are ridiculous. 86 wins with a basically guaranteed playoff spot but people cry constantly.

Yes, and a playoff spot has basically been wrapped up since the All Star Break. Have you noticed anything about what's happened since the All Star break that may give some of us cause for concern? I want to win the World Series. Settling for a division title is a moral victory.
ETA: Do you like having a case of the Blue Balls, because this season is setting up to cause a severe case of them

I'm a very big Astros fan. I also realize Major League Baseball is 162 games before a possible 20 in the playoffs. It's a marathon and a reason I love the sport in general.
Losing three games in college football is drastically different so that was a terrible example.

2018 schedule released. Interesting we open up in Arlington. I may try to do a little Cali trip and see us at Dodger Stadium and then AT&T Park in SF
ETA: Also pretty strange that we have very little divisional series in the final month

Were you around for the 1 game playoff w the Dodgers? The Phillies? The Mets? The Padres? The Braves?
I'm talking lifetime, not a 4 game series.
The Indians definitely have more to complain about than the Astros, and they are the team to beat.
All I've seen in this thread is several posters adjusting their level of expectations to match the performance of the Astros bullpen.
And anyone worth their salt as a MLB aficionados would know that there exists a direct relationship b/w best bullpen and WS champs, especially in recent times.
