Well, we don't need a left handed hitting 1B with Valbuena around. But we can use another speed guy off the bench.

Luhnow said he's got no interest in bringing up first timers to a club that's in a playoff race.

Look I hate Carter as well and he should be DFA'ed. With that said, I think Marwin/Valbuena have been doing a good enough job to hold it the rest of the year. I don't blame Luhnow for not bringing up a rookie in a pennant chase.

But, I fully expect White to be up next year and be full time at 1B. Let Carter go and trade Singleton. I really think they bought a winning lottery ticket with White and AJ Reed should be DHing by mid season '16.

White now has 53 RBIs in his 50th Triple-A game. And his OBP is just under .500... FIVE HUNDRED.

The A's and Angels are delayed because a ball hit the wall so hard part of the outfield wall came off

I'm excited about White too...

But this really isn't the time. We're in the division lead with the playoffs 30 games away.

It's not the time for a rookie to be taking his lumps. These are important games coming up. And as atrocious as 1B has been, we're 14 over 500 and in 1st place.

We should be wayyyyyy more concerned about Catcher than anything else.

ETA: unless Luhnow makes a move in the next 40 minutes

It's expanded roster time. He destroys LHP. I think he could be a factor as a hitter to whom the league will need to adjust at first more than the other way around.

White on the bench as a pinch hitting option against lefties over Carter and Marisnick? Yes please.

Even if he came up and raked, he's not gonna be eligible for postseason.

Why let the team get used to his production when he wont be there when it matters?

Not saying I wouldn't mind seeing the guy play

Or if White actually takes to catching this winter (oh man...would that be nice!):

Springer RF
Altuve 2B
Correa SS
Reed 1B
White C
Moran 3B
CarGo CF
Tucker DH
Does it matter? LF

Because we want to do everything we can to win the division and earn home field advantage in the ALDS?

I look forward to the day that Norris and Cosart are battling for the long relief job with a last-place team.
