Fiers has become better than most of the starting pitching we could trade for, honestly. The DL stints have done wonders for his game. Props to him for getting better and doing what he had to do. Peacock has been pretty damn good as well. No telling if their success will last, but you have to ride it until it crashes.

I dont think they have the farm to get it done but they are only 2.5 out of the WC and getting healthy. Their lineup with Paxton and Gray could be a tough out in the playoffs.

I don't think the Mariners have the pieces to add a controllable starter but maybe they can get someone like Lance Lynn.

Yeah their farm is garbage. They could make an ok playoff run this year but would have no future.

Part of me hopes the deal would happen. Both sides would basically extricate themselves from the division for the foreseeable future.
