He's on the downside.

I'm like y'all in that I'm trying to understand why he isn't on the roster now.

Astros leaving trade options open makes the most sense. They didn't draft him second overall to be our SS obviously. They took him b/c he had the most value.

His performance in the minors has been meteoric. As a fan of Bregman before he was drafted, I see him as making an immediate impact for my favorite team.

Unfortunately, Astros management may see it otherwise.

If they did anything wrong, it was keeping him in AA for as long as they did.

Even Correa played 24 games at AAA and clearly he didn't need it.

Bregs has 17 games under his belt, so he's getting close to what Correa had

Bregman is now batting leadoff to maximize his AAA at bats before they call him up. That much is clear. He'll have ~100 ABs with Fresno by middle of next week.

If the front office just has to have rookies debut on the road (their apparent M.O.), Bregman will join the big club for the Detroit series.

He should be up right now. It's dumb that he isn't. And I do not believe they would trade him this month, even for Sale.

Well that's reassuring.

But we have some bad karma our way with the Andersen/Bagwell deal, so unlike these youngsters here, I'll still hold my breath. LOL

Go look at every thing we gave up for Randy Johnson. I think karma has already come and gone.

Castro scratched tonight due to bruused hand. Jake starts in LF. Rasmus must have lost hinches confidence. He sits against a righty.

You're preaching to the choir

I probably pre-date you

My first real heartbreak was getting swept by the Dodgers last series to force the 1 game playoff that we won.

Art Howe had a bases clearing double in that game. He needs oxygen for the post game show. LOL

Yeah you a few years older. I remember my first game at the dome around 83 or 84. BASS hit 2 Hr off Mickey mahler.

Yeah, since our resident college catcher pointed out he should keep his right hand in harm's way w a runner on first, I've watched every C in this situation.

Paul Bako recently told 3 catchers on our team in my presence to never put your throwing hand in harm's way.

Castro had his hand exposed last night on swinging strike threes w no one on. LOL

When Marwin got our first hit last night, the Phillies catcher had his hand in front and pulled it back as the pitch approached, so I guess it might depend on the runner or it's catcher's preference.

In Castro's case, it is definitely laziness. I researched the game last night until the 6th, and there was no rhyme or reason to where his hand was. LOL

Well he is lazy. Half the time he takes fastballs down the cock. Our other catcher swings at balls in the dirt over his head and in the on deck circle.

Glad to hear expert analysis of what my untrained eyes have seen. Castro is lazy.

Then he has the gall to bitch about it to the umpire. Castro being an a-hole cant help our pitchers out with calls.

Gattis has a poor approach at the plate but he gives 110% every time. Id take 1 Osso blanco over 10 Castros
