I think KC ends up back in the WS. Houston just doesn't have the front line pitchers and they're so terribly streaky offensively. Thise 2 holes on the corners will eventually be the death blow for them.
Again, with that said, I think there will be more upgrades in the offseason and each team every year will improve and Houston will be contenders for a long time

I'm not even sure you need elite starting pitching to win in the Postseason now, the Giants and Royals are both examples of that in my opinion.
Personally, I think strengthening the Bullpen with one more plus arm and a high on base guy that we can stick at the top of the lineup are both slightly more important to this year's success than an "ace."

Jesus. How do you convince yourself that you're an Astros fan? You bitch and moan about Ryno hating on everything Luhnow but you can't even see a team that swept KC a couple weeks ago beating KC to get to the series.
Just go be a Cubs fan, they're always waiting for next year.

Damn, that's a little harsh. There are a few people who regularly post in this thread who don't believe this is the Astros year, including me. That doesn't make us less of fans. Yes, the Astros can beat any team in a series at any given time; however, they can also go completely cold as an offense and be beaten just as easily. The consistency isn't there yet and that's just a fact. They always have a shot at getting hot at the right time though.
I think Vegas would have us as an underdog in a playoff series against any of KC, Angels, Yankees, Tigers & Blue Jays (if those last two make it to the post season). I honestly think the Astros would only be favorites against Minnesota when looking at all of the playoff contenders right now.

KC was a wild card last year that got hot at the right time and swept their way to the Series. Sounds like something this team could do, they have the swag.
I don't mind people thinking this isn't our year, but all Prom does is come on here to say oh look, everyones melting or we're too sucky to make it out of the first round.
