When you get to two strikes with RISP, the batter is much more likely to do anything just to stay alive. It was the final nail in the Hinch-built coffin tonight.

Keuchel postgame: "I got pretty tired there at the end and had to battle all night. Lot's of 3-2 counts."

Yes, Hinch. IDIOT! 99 pitches in 6 innings is A LOT.

funny that we didn't pinch hit at all tonight. How bad do the reserves have to be when you have marisnick, Gomez and Rasmus striking out at record rates? Why even have worth or reed on the roster?

If they want to win this year, go after Beltran to DH. Add in Bregman and Gurriel to have a complete lineup. We can suck arse in CF if we have legit players everywhere else.

no pitcher will say he wants to come out.

it's up to the manager to see it.

hinch hasn't even learned to have a guy ready*

Maybe he was afraid Dallas would yell at him again.

It seems the only starter Hinch will take out when it's the obvious move is Fiers. He plays favorites when he needs to use his brain.

Even if he just HAD to tempt fate by keeping Dallas out there to start the 7th, Hinch HAD to have Giles ready as soon as anyone got on base. But nope. Idiocy.

And it's nothing like when a player messes up. It sucks but it happens. Sometimes players do dumb things.

But when the manager does dumb things more than once? Unacceptable.

We should be no worse than 2 1/2 games back right now. This game and the white sox games were winnable. Hell, even last nights game was fine until Fiers and Feliz fell apart.

Turned into losses by bad management 100%

That's baseball. Two teams played and one lost. That's fine. Only lost because we were outplayed on a given day.

But screw Hinch for being so stupid.

I agree with both of ya

there are probably more, but let's just start the count at 2 games lost by management (in 2 weeks)

We should just start being diehard fans of WWE. They had some "draft" tonight that people are all ree-ree about on Twitter.

A wrestling draft.

We went 2/17 in the 6-9 spots of tge lineup. The fact that Jake and Gomez and Colby can go 0-13 is why we lose these games. Good news is that this will get Bregman up faster.

Looks like a missed another good melt. frick those late start West Coast games.

Another winnable game. No excuse for leaving Dallas in for 120 damn pitches.

Problems with fatigue? Ok, 8 days off

Feeling good? Ok 120 pitches

Hinch is a damn simpleton with in game decisions.

I'm glad I didn't watch, or I would likely be more mad.

I'll just point out that fact that over the last 6-8 weeks we've been winning at about a 66% clip, which of course is the best in baseball.

So while it sucks to struggle against a team like the A's (who we historically suck against), we were due for some regression.

ETA: If Val's ball goes fair in the first inning, it's an entirely different game. Those are the breaks I talk about when I say we were due for regression.

Hinch's decisions are still boneheaded sometimes and I don't endorse that whatsoever.

Win the game today and we have a 3-3 road trip and everything is ok.

It was a tough game. Bad decisions. Mostly bad hitting outside of altuve. Mostly bad relief.

The other team is not good. The other team threw out a bad pitcher and basically shut us down.

Gomez coming up with men on base is a big problem

Good thing we have no holes.

I might be the most pro Hinch person on here but leaving Keuchel in was just wrong.

We need a Bregtrance and a shot in the arm for this weekend against our certified AL West bitch, the Angels
