YFPHA finish a three game set with the Oakland A's looking to take the series and reach a high water mark in games above .500 today.

Hahn (1-3), 4.42 vs. Keuchel (5-0), 1.87

Officials with the Astros are thinking of renovating MMP and renaming it Hiroshima Nagasaki Park.

On with the show!

Just went on fangraphs and pulled up stats for all players in MLB. I sorted the category of BABIP in descending order just to see who had the lowest

....in the ENTIRE MLB, 4 regular starters in the Astros lineup are in the bottom 9 in BABIP (Valbueno 3rd lowest, Gattis 4th, Carter 7th, Springer 9th)

That's absurd considering where we stand as a team at the moment. Those are our 2-5 hitters and their production will only get better (sans Carter maybe )

I def expect Valbuena and Gattis to get better. Valbuena seems like he has a ton of hard hit outs when I watch, and Gattis seemed the same way a few weeks ago but he's kind of back to his shitty hack at everything approach. I didn't watch the game last night though after the first three innings

So how long before we see Singleton back up?

I would hope soon, but it would really limit the flexibility of the roster. They need to give him another run though and see if he could be the long term answer at 1B or just a AAAA player who mashes at AAA but can't hit in the majors

When Valbuena and Springer start regularly producing, I will take the hit or miss nature of Carter & Gattis.

If you ask me, the key to this whole lineup is Jason Castro. If he gets in a groove, we will be dangerous.

Add Correa and another starter...and if Colby & Jake can keep it up, this team could make a serious run.

I would prefer to have only one of that type personally, but we may not have a choice

Hey guys. How are the Astros playing so far? I haven't watched much this year.

Looks like they have the best record in the American League.

Don't believe it. It's a mirage.

They are way over their heads, just a simple glance at the team batting average will tell you all you need to know. Team is due for regression in a big way.
