I don't think any of these guys have pitched the innings we need them to pitch.
not doubting their skillset, but I am questioning if they are ready from a durability standpoint.

Devenski and Feliz are ready for an extended run in the rotation. Devenski is getting it now. He's 25, if he's not ready now he never will be. I think he's saying we need to see what they can do at the ML level even if it's a trial run. Musgrove we certainly need to, he has nothing left to prove in the minors IMO

Right. Let's get them there this season. That's all I'm saying.

Exactly.
We can either have Fister steal those innings from kids we need/want to see in the majors for a non-contender to get his next contract while we get a pick later or go after a trade sooner than later.

The pitching market at the deadline this year could be pretty rough with the complete lack of decent starters who will be free agents. We could get a better return for Fister than we normally would. So at least we picked a good year to be sellers the most silver of linings

We definitely aren't going to win much with as many gaping holes we have in the lineup.
3rd, CF, 1st, DH, and sometimes C is too much to overcome on a regular basis. You can have 1 or 2 but not 5 or 6.
ETA: AND LACK OF SITUATIONAL HITTING. Christ, I can't even count how many times we get runners on 3rd with less than 2 outs and don't get them home.

I'm not quite ready to give up on the season so I don't think they should go with a total youth movement. But as you mentioned a few of those moves should serve as more of an upgrade anyway, and not just a tryout.

We have an elite second baseman and shortstop. We have a really good RF. We have a rotation that ain't gonna get it done to playoff level and a lineup that has huge holes beyond the three really good players. It's hard to expect some great turnaround needed asap.

That's my problem. You've got 5/9 positions in the lineup that are well below average. Just in those 5, you've got 3 hitting below .200. You can't win when most of your lineup is making outs more than 80% of the time.
It kind of blows my mind that someone who values analytics and advanced stats like Luhnow put together a lineup made up nearly entirely of guys who are poor hitters with big power but low average, low contact and low on base.

I mean, I kind of get it. He knows its expensive to find guys that hit for average and get on base, but guys that hit for low average and hit for power are a dime a dozen. So until he could cultivate the former, he uses the latter.
Last year really was kind of an anomaly in their plans. We just had the perfect storm of guys throwing up career years in pitching, HR's, etc. I shitty year for the division and voila, a Wildcard Spot. It sped the process up, probably faster than it should have and left us with a false sense of hope and expectations. 2016 was supposed to be the year we got near .500 and maybe sneak in the playoffs.

Exactly

Hopefully they can give Devo some run support, 1st try was a dud.

2 Straight walks to open the game, not ideal.

6 of 7 games against us they've scored in the first inning.
I love starting games from behind
