Let's not forget road Lance's contributions to this game, he's just as responsible as the other two

I didn't comment on it then but I was shocked the infield was in with no outs in the first. After seeing the replay of the infield in in the 5th, I'm not entirely sure Brantley' ball wasn't hit so hard that Correa at normal depth may have had a play at home. AT WORST he keeps Lindor at 2nd.

Pitchers not named Dallas Keuchel or Home Lance McCullers have got to get their shite together. Road Lance, Musgrove and Morton are basically hoping to get through 5 innings and cross their fingers that the offense bails them out.

I will eat my crow for you at season's end with Beltran if necessary, but he is too good of a hitter to go down at MMP w/o similar numbers to those he put up in NY/TX last year

The kid is still a work in progress. We should worry about him after another few road starts if he doesn't get more consistent.

Point is, Sipp should never have seen the mound tonight. Had a real chance at another comeback win ruined by that horrible decision.

As good as this team has played to this point, that is a worrisome trend. The starters have got to start putting together longer outings.

Agree 100%, but in the context of this single game, he had a huge negative impact.

Also spot on. I'm not an AJ basher usually, but tonight was poor

Hinch did it because he completely buys into handedness matchups. Sipp was supposed to face Kipnis and Chisenhall and get 2 outs. Problem is Sipp can't retire lefties. Hinch won't look at the numbers from this year and last year. Just at a lefty vs lefty situation. Sipp has no business in a close game.

Hinch just said we get Bauer out and now we have to face Miller and Allen. LOL

Whereas Cle gets McCullers out and has to face Sipp and Feliz

Game, set,........ Match??????

Tune in tmrw

3-4-5 hasn't inspired much confidence to this point and Lance is a total crapshoot away from MMP. It does feel like we're going to need to go out and add a solid pitcher. We've got the offense to hide some of the pitching weaknesses and guys like Devo or Peacock to bridge the gap but I don't think you want to have to regularly overcome bad/short starts.

Sometimes managers push wrong buttons. It's infuriating when one pushes the obvious Stupid Button.

Yes

In MLB, a good manager really makes a 5 game difference during the course of a season. Not a lot, but enough to count when losses turn into wins.

10 games on your record overall.

Everyone agrees across the board. This team is one that should contend for the pennant. Hinch won't have any excuses.

That's a much better way to say it. It makes even worse sense when you factor we had a day off two days ago and keuchel goes 9 innings yesterday. We had the WHOLE bullpen available in a one run game in the 6th and he picks sipp. Hunch is too much of a formula guy. It was sipp's turn so he went with him. Like others have stated, he will hinder our full winning potentiial because of his formulas.

Hinch doesn't have to use him

But if this is Hinch telling Luhnow GFYS, then it was worth it, but I doubt it

And remember, Luhnow pulled some pretty good strings this off season

I'm not saying you're wrong... Because I do think there is a lot of truth here.

But I think there's a big point getting overlooked. Hinch has to play the players on the team. Luhnow makes the personnel decisions. Hinch basically buys into the Luhnow philosophy. Sipp will continue to not get lefties out until Luhnow decides that his incredibly shitty decision to keep him on the roster is actually shitty enough to admit his mistake.
