Things to know about this game
• When McCullers gave up five runs in 4 1/3 innings at Oakland on April 15, just 13.3 percent of his batted balls allowed were grounders, the second-lowest single-game rate of his career. But in his last outing, McCullers got 76.9 percent grounders -- tied for his third-best rate.
• Among active players on the Tribe, only Austin Jackson (0-for-3) and Edwin Encarnacion (1-for-2) have faced McCullers in his career. This will be his first career start against the Indians.
• Astros outfielder George Springer is day to day with hamstring discomfort he sustained while running the bases in Saturday's game against the Rays in St. Petersburg. He was out of the starting lineup on Tuesday for the second time in as many games after appearing in 205 consecutive contests.

Who's getting called up? Kemp? Tucker? White?

Why does Cleveland start their home games at 6:00 local time? That threw me off big time yesterday.

I'm not 100% but I think they only do it in April and May, I'm guessing cause they want an extra hour of daylight since it can prob get cold there once the sun sets?

They are catering to families with kids in school during the spring months plus trying to catch warmer weather with the earlier starts.

Best 20 game start in franchise history

I can see that, but I think there is a trade-off with people who work not being able to get to the park in time for a 6:00 start also. Even around here, when a weeknight event starts at 6:00 (men's and women's basketball, softball, baseball), the crowd is a "late-arriving" crowd due to work, traffic, etc...I am sure getting to an Indians game for 6:00 is also hard for some folks.....but the flip side is that more people will still be around at the end of the game.

Yeah I'd imagine the average joe would love it if their local team started at 6 pm. I think a lot more people would attend if it ended at 9ish, but I guess the crowd would be empty at the very beginning

@jakemkaplan
The Astros are calling up Tony Kemp from Triple A, per sources, which doesn't bode well for Teoscar Hernandez avoiding the DL.

Doesn't bode well for altuve playing today.

Considering how our main guys fared against Bauer in the past, maybe that's a good thing.

Meh. They need an outfielder for the duration of Marisnick's DL stint. Teo was Jake's replacement. They needed another outfielder as a bench bat, pinch runner, defensive replacement. Your choices at Fresno are Tucker or Kemp.

Agreed. Don't want to risk stunting our crown jewel Derek fishers development. This is the right move

I'm not a big fan of the short bench so hopefully once everyone gets healthy kemp stays up as a super utility guy.

Fisher also isn't on the 40 man. They're not making that move to get 5 days of Fisher and start his clock.
