I've really liked Aoki's ABs. Even against lefties. But I get Hinch leaving Marwin in the lineup since he's been hitting. Ride the hot hand.

Is Hinch familiar with this concept?

Marwin is such a useful player. And I have a feeling he's going to be our defacto everyday 1B again at some point unless a deal is made.

I think Reed is going to earn his shot at it before and trade is made.

Probably, I'm still not that confident in Reed though. I hope I'm wrong. I know he's been hitting the ball well again in AAA early on

Blum pointed this out during one of last weeks broadcasts, but Safeco field has been somewhat a launching pad for our bats the last few years. Hope this series can kickstart the offense

Lance Berkman was on 790 for a while this morning and it was great stuff.

Here's what may be a sore subject here....

How long of a leash does Bregman have?

He's off to a scorching 4-24 start

I think as long as the team is finding ways to win, you don't stress about anyone at this point of the season.

Once we get closer to May, then you have to start paying attention to individual performances. For right now, I think you just pay attention to the team performance... And in general, the team has played lousy but still has a winning record.

I do. Just an observation. Doesn't mean it'll happen again.

Bregman can at least appear to have the ability to give you a QAB.

11 pitch walk, go the other way on outside corner, move a runner over.

Gurriel at this point for the price we paid will easily keep the attention off of Bregs

He has as many Ks as walks. The hits will come.

I'm not worried about Bregs in the long run. With that said, especially with Marwin being on fire right now, I might switch Marwin to the 2 hole and have Bregs bat 7 or 8..

You can't and shouldn't think about benching him right now

You only consider it when it's July or August and he's still really struggling. He's mostly just having bad luck

Yea not worried about bregs right now because he at least doesn't look like a turd at the plate.

But Yuli is for sure the main hole to keep an eye on in this lineup rn imo. He was seen as a gain now move.

I just like seeing that Altuve "grounded out sharply"

With Paxton, we will likely get 2-3 solo homers and get completely shut down after that. Hope Chuck Morton brought his A game

It's clear the WBC benching of Bregman is going to cost us a damn month of hitting from him. It's basically spring training with live bullets for him right now.
