I'm not dumb enough to think it'll stick, but the Astros are in 1st place boys.

Now, just get rid of Cancer Carter and we will improve.

Carter is terrible. I knew last season was a fluke. I know he has the potential to be a good home run hitter, as we saw last season. But he isn't consistent enough and I really don't expect him to ever be as good as he was at the end of last season again.

Eta: I thought he was a bum when he was with the A's, I thought he was a bum when he came to the Astros, I thought last season was a fluke, and I will always think he's a bum. He's not as good as some in the DAT want to believe him to be.

Kemp needs to start playing Lf some. Hell we could use him as a dh.

Tucker, Singleton, Correa, Kemp, Moran, Phillips, Fisher

Just a few of the minor leaguers from AAA to A who can flat-out hit.

Unless Valbuena gets hurt, Moran probably sees nothing more than a September callup.

Moran is hitting .242 right now. That's not good enough.

That's the most crazy part about being in first. So far the AL west hasn't been as good I was expecting. Specifically the Mariners, I had high expectations for them.. I know season is still very young and I'm sure things will start falling their way eventually, but still I did not expect them to be in last and us in first at this point.

Still a lot of ball left and I think our offense will keep on improving as the season progresses.

How cursed are the Astros? We leave the division with one of the greatest hitters ever and probably the best of the last decade. What do you know he follows us... Trout develops into one of the current best hitters in the game. Our old friend Prince Fielder joins the party. Then for shits and giggles, last years home run champ moves on over to the AL West and picks up where he left off (he's got 8 homers now).

I just brought the Carter sucks argument to TCB.

Anyone want to guess the first excuse to justify his start?

Under no circumstances should we pitch to Nelson Cruz during this next series
