Sharper got 8 years in Nevada, 9 years in Arizona, and 20 years in Louisiana. So 37 and counting? Am I reading that right?

They are concurrent so he's going to serve 20.

Nah. I'm good. Apparently, there is no middle ground. I either want Sharper to get assraped in prison every day, or I want him to marry my mother.

apparently he's going to be allowed to start his sentence in federal prison which while no doubt harsh is a far far cry from Angola

the more that comes out about this the better the deal looks. The St. Bernard cop and the scumbag accomplice in the crimes here are looking at much worse sentences than is sharper

Damn guys, take it easy on Copter.

I don't agree with what he said. He wasn't being cruel or anything though. Unless I missed something, y'all are shitting on him and questioning his character because he thinks it'd be a good idea to attempt to fix people? Good lord.

Why would they send him to Angola?

Angola in Louisiana is pretty famous for being a rough prison, but I've heard it has gotten way better in the last ten years. The warden seems to be a good dude. He started a hospice program where the younger inmates tend to the dying ones. There is a pretty powerful documentary about it.

One would hope they put him through intense psycho-analysis. It's mind boggling how a rich, good looking, well spoken and stylish NFL star would lure hot chicks who mostly already want to have sex with them only to drug them and have sex with them unconscious. I think society wants to know how the hell a mind could be broken in that way.

Its a power thing. Its not about the sex. As you mentioned he had a lot going in his favor; looks, money, fame, etc. Its not hard for him to sleep with women, this was something much deeper than that.

Well established, but it's the "something much deeper than that" part which should be found out.

Louisiana prosecutors have agreed in the plea deal, after serving 9 years Sharper will get credit for the remaining 11 while free on probation. We're told the Louisiana sentence will be served concurrently with sentences in California, Nevada and Arizona. All 4 states require Sharper behind bars for 9 years or less, so 9 is the operative number. So he will be a free man in 2024
