Signing D MAC over Spiller. I don't get it.

Curious to see how much it is because I would imagine they couldn't even pay Spiller

younger than Murray and just as injury prone...waaaaaay cheaper. he won't be asked to carry a full load like Murray did...if he can stay healthy and give 12-16 carries a game and a few catches this could be a nice value.

This would be an even better move

quote:

There appears to be mutual interest between the Cowboys and free agent RB Stevan Ridley. If healthy, Ridley would be a respectable fallback option after DeMarco Murray's departure. Ridley is a power back who could thrive behind Dallas' big offensive line. Wherever Ridley lands, he'll likely sign a short-term "prove it" contract. Ridley tore his ACL and MCL in mid-October of last year.

Doesn't Ridley have the case of fumblitis even with deflated balls? I really don't think these guys will be able to do nearly as well as Murray. I see 1000-1200 for the RBs in total~ unless AP comes over. Then 1200-1500.

He's cleaned up the fumbles a little bit, the ones he does have just are under so much scrutiny. And Dallas won't bench him for one fumble like Belicheck did so I think that helps his confidence

Short 2014 season but he didnt fumble once.

Ridley- 4 years 9 fumbles
Murray- 4 years 12 fumbles

Murray has carried the ball a good bit more but he isnt immune to turnovers.

McFadden actually played in all 16 games last year.

He's definitely lost a step and isn't as explosive as he was in college but I'm interested to see how he does with that line.

if that really is the plan the Dallas run game is going to suck arse and the offense will take a step back.

running back by committee is the easiest way to tip your hand on offense.

McFadden sprained his index finger while signing the contract...

Will be out between 1 week and 5 years.

Has anybody mentioned that DMC might be able to be an asset behind that Cowboys Oline?
