This is no different than when Alabama came to Duke a few years back. App. St. and ECU are the football fanatic schools in North Carolina.

Agree. Mostly because it's all either school have going for them athletic wise. Problem for the U is that App should be loaded next year. They'll probably go 11-1 this year with the lone loss @Clemson.

IIRC it's a last minute fill in game. This is on the last AD's plate. Can we all scrap playing FCS schools during regular season. End the spring with an FCS opponent

I didn't follow your post the first time. I've only watched LSU spring games, and they are interested in limiting contact and adjusting the game sometimes as needed. I think they'd rather keep it that way than play a real game outside of the fall slate.

UNC and Vatech will also be playing games at ODU. They are all doing it for recruiting reasons. ODU is lucky to be in fertile recruiting grounds.
