re: Curry or Iverson

The ONLY thing I would give the nod to Iverson over Curry is slashing ability. Curry is better in every other area, including mentally.

What are the circumstances?
Current playoff team that needs one more piece to make title runs? Curry.
Bottom of the league team and I need a player to start rebuilding? Iverson.

yeah i don't get why you'd ever pick iverson over curry

Not to knock Curry, but I feel like I can trust Iverson more to carry a team that isn't well established.
Now if you're the type of GM that absolutely has zero tolerance for attitudes over talent, then Curry is the obvious choice. If you have an already established playoff team, then Curry is the man.

Iverson was terribly boring to watch live.
Most disappointing game I've ever been to.

I've never said he sucks. I think he is overrated but he didn't suck.

I guess next you will be saying that Curry is better than Jordan.......
Nope.

And your acting like a spoiled brat because Iverson pissed you off somehow...
So b/c I think it's stupid to say Iverson carried Philly to the Finals by himself and that Steph is clearly a better player I'm being a spoiled brat?

If AI had played as long as Kobe, he's own the record for most missed shots in an NBA career.

You also never saw AI play.......

Iverson was quicker and tougher. He was better in traffic, and in the paint. Yes, Curry is very good in traffic, but people forget how good Iverson was. He was incredible, especially considering how short he was. Curry is the better shooter by far, and the better teammate. Iverson was a better passer imo, when he would actually facilitate the ball in the offense. If they played a game of 1v1 in their primes, the final score would be 21-20 and the winner would flip flop from game to game.
I get the Curry love, but people love to hate on Iverson, and forget just how incredible he was as a player.
At a certain point, asking questions like this about 2 players becomes impossible to answer. They are equally good, they are both the elite of the elite. Iverson could be in someone's top 5 players list and I wouldn't blink. If Curry stays healthy a few more years, he will be in that conversation as well. He will probably be there after only one actually.

Yeah, I am actually struggling to come up with a specific situation where I would choose Iverson over Curry.
Maybe a Tom Thibodeau Bulls esque team that had a great defense and needed a scorer that can work in the half court without much in the way of other facilitators or scorers?
