Dude 77 in a row is unreal. The NBA should do more marketing like this because there are a lot of players that would blow people's minds in an empty gym and get people talking, they are missing out.

They are th most impressive athletes in person on this planet. It's really unreal just how good even the 15th guy on a roster is.

Try playing a pick up game against a decent mid major D1 college basketball game. They look like NBA players.

My buddy from my intramural basketball team actually got picked off our intramural team and ended up as a d1 starter he was an unguardable 6'6 SF in intramurals but a spot starter in major D1 ball. It was crazy.

Ya it was so cool. There were about 50 people, they had a nice brunch for the fans and then a practice. The only other cooler thing I have been to that wasn't a real sporting event was Bird vs Magic with Dr J being the ref at Caesars Palace in 2003 playing in a banquet hall in front of about 150 people. They were old and fat as frick and it was the same thing, they didn't miss, but Magic was way better. I was so lucky I got to go but my boss was a degenerate gambler and got a court side table.

I have played against Mike Bibby, Magic, Shaq, Marion, Hornacek and a ton of other NBA and European pros, I used to play at the LA Sports Club most weekends in 02-04, and BY FAR the best I have seen on the pickup up courts was Marbury. I can't even explain how much better he was and it was like he wasn't even trying and all he took were shots in the lane. It must have been drugs or pressure that fricked him up in big games.

Tell me this is a joke. Might be the most impressive thing I have ever seen. 77 in a row. Are you kidding me.

I mean, there are kids that arent good enough to make D3 basketball teams that can shoot probably half of that in a row.

Practice shooting is easy even for scrubs if they dont have height or handles to go along with their shooting.

So maybe the best shooter in the NBA? Yea, not really surprised

eta: to be fair the kids I mention arent shooting NBA 3s. And Im not saying it isnt super awesome, im just not surprised. This post comes across maybe more abrasive than I intended.

Id also wonder if he was shooting from the same spot over and over and being fed the ball or travellng around. Because that would be way harder.

the most klay Thompson has ever made is 36 straight so it's a bit of a stretch to say that any ol good shooting HS kid could do it.

I have always been fascinated how certain people are better against elite competition than others. Two of my friends in high school were an example of this. One of them would absolutely destroy us in pick-up games. Just a really polished player. The other guy could shoot pretty well, but he honestly wasn't that hard to guard. But he was a WAY better high school player. He decided not to play college, but D-League scouts talk to him at tournaments and such. Makes no sense to me.

Ya it is weird. I wish cell phone cameras were around for those games at the LA Sports Club. Literally Magic and Shaq would be chilling in the lane, Magic was juiced up then because of HIV and like 300lbs and Shaq weighed about the same, and Marbury would just dribble past his dude like he wasn't even there and go right between them for a 5 footer and swish every single time. It was like he wasn't even trying and he made some of the best players ever look stupid yet in the NBA he was just a little better than average.

Well if they can't even play d3 i'd assume they were nothing more than a kid with a decent shot. There are guys playing d3 ball who couldn't even get off the bench in HS.

This 7 ft Lithuanian guy i went to school with could hit about 70% shooting off his toes from the wings

I was more obsessed with hitting ten in a row in clusters at different spots. Left elbow was my shite

So I'm guessing you can ball pretty well? My best friend can seriously ball. I was always jealous. His rec stories were better than mine.

Nah, more like guys who are lik 5'6 or 5'7 and arent athletic and cant defend. But they can shoot high school/college 3s for days.

They are good at it because of their work ethic. But you wont be able to see them get more than 2 or 3 shots off in a game

Know of some kids like that that will go to prep schools or juco or some shite.

eta: Well I guess Juco is probably better than D3 huh? My bad, not trying to be misleading. Just tired and not thinking

Klay Thompson most is 36 ever. So pretty much doubled that of a top 5 shooter in the league.
So don't say any High schoolers or even d1 players can get close to half of that. And that's 3 feet farther
