I hope his next one he runs them recklessly fast like he is trying for an in-the-park HR just to shut everyone up. Make a real spectacle out of it.

Looked like a normal trot to me. What a stupid thing to be upset about. It didn't even happen against the Cardinals

This.

I guess it's not enough that castro be a lightning rod amongst cubs fans. Maybe the BFIB are just trying to protect the honor of the game.

I can only assume the cardinals fans and announcers also heaped praise on Castro for his fine play making that over the shoulder catch?

maybe if he hits one against the cards, he can run really fast and out of control and then crash into the wall behind home plate

I am truly grateful that others see just how unbearable Cardinals fans are...Imagine living/working around them 24/7.

30 seconds is not a normal trot

And you don't pimp a bomb when it's your 1st extra base hit in weeks.

He also booted a routine grounder for his 12th error of the season.

Castro needs to grow up

People whining about celebrating a bomb against an MLB pitcher need to grow up.

These same people probably bitch about how goodell is making the NFL the NoFunLeague.

I was watching the Cardinals game last night and all the announcers said was something to the effect of that could get you or a teammate thrown at, which isn't incorrect. And then they went back to game action.

Seems some people have a stick up their arse about the cardinals.

Well maybe that's true, but these other fans are mad about nothing. I'm just speaking, in general, people get all upset if they feel like a batter showed them up. Lot of sensitive people out there.

Could be, but I'm not believing the cardinals announcers were bitching about it for fear that rizzo or bryant takes one to the hip.

They were stating the obvious.
my first reaction was Bryant or Rizzo can expect retaliation tonight.

David Ortiz did this last year and it was a huge story. It was slowest home run trot recorded at 32 seconds, and he pretty much walked around the bases.

I don't care about watching it go over fence, or celebrating in the dugout, but a 30 second victory lap is too much.

Especially considering how shitty he's been playing.

They usually are. I can't see any fan reactions because the pictures don't show up on my work computer.

I'm a Cardinals fan and an LSU fan. I'm very well versed in baseball fans thinking they're way more important than they really are. And thinking they know more or are the arbiters of what's right. And I hate those people.

you hit it 427 feet...do whatever you feel.

I don't adhere to rules that aren't written or some glorification of putting your head down. Dude trotted around the bases slowly. There are worse tragedies in the world.

This is really it. He's a lightning rod and if you don't like him then he can do nothing right. And if you're like me you defend the guy too much because of the hate.

Let's not forget pitchers as well. At least we're not playing the Braves, but Marlins have been known to be sensitive recently. We'll see what happens.

Or the dbacks with kirk gibson as manager.

The mental gymnastics it would take to defend that guy's antics.
